Following recommendations expressed on the occasion of the subproject's mid-term review, a major focus of SATURN has been to advance our knowledge on photochemical pollution in South European cities. Chapter 8 summarises the current understanding on urban photochemistry in South Europe as reflected in the scientific results of various SATURN groups and other European projects.
